Hell-o Fine DAers.....

Well... I've been pretty productive of late.... Inspiration strikes in burst you know. I've officially started my DYNASTY/UNMASKED era Gene Simmons costume. I've got the HUGE red satin cape sewn, with buckles and everything sewn in. I've got the codpiece finished and strapped, I've got the general shape of the chest plate started, it still needs some work before it gets fiberglassed, AND I've finally got the toes/heels of the platform boots foamed, no more that 30 minutes ago. Tomorrow I might get a chance to shape them and texture the rest of the legs.

As you MAY have seen, I started and finished my Paul Stanley ALIVE! boots. Goddamn it I'm proud of them. I'm definitely working out a battle plan for a full ALIVE! Paul costume! I've also been commissioned by my good friend Tony, To make him a LOVE GUN era Ace Frehley costume, which I'm pretty excited to start. Tony also does vacuum-forming, which is how they make the plastic Stormtroopers armour, and we're in talks to make a set of two of gene Simmons armour in plastic, which would be very cool. I also have to start on Brett and Donna's destroyer Gene armour this weekend.

Other than that, Its getting close to 12 months with my gorgeous :iconshuffie:, and I'm currently sick as a dog, lmao

Wow,that's alot of work done...basically all I've done is order my wigs and buy a pair of shoes. :O

Heheheh yeah, When I get inspired I tend to work a lot :P Plus I enjoy building things, and this new gene costume is really giving me a run for my money :P

You sure do like to keep busy. Great stuff. You and I will have to get together and talk soon. I would love to get some impressions from you on the Batman Arkham Asylum costume.

Can't wait to see this Gene Dynasty costume, hopefully at Gen Con.

I really do mate! I feel like I've wasted a weekend if i dont get something significant done on a costume. This Dynasty Gene should be reasonably impressive.

That would be great. I have noticed that the new suit looks like its "plated" and I was thinking that fibreglass or plastic vacuum forming would work really well. And I know a few guys in the States who are really interested to see what people can come up with.

I know what you mean about the weekends. I have spent the last two in the cave working on my Arkham suit accessories, and I will be in there again this weekend doing Naruto weapons for my daughter for her Sakura costume for Gen Con. Costuming is a family affair in this family.

well I'd love to discuss it, I think there's a lot of potential for new ideas and unusual techniques, especially with suits like the Dark Knight and Begins suits.

Hahah I wish costuming was a family affair in my family. I'm pretty much the black sheep :P
