This is my completed pair of Paul Stanley "75" ALIVE! Boots. They were a pair of black ROC branded boots, that I bought on eBay for somewhere around $20 plus postage.

I decided a few weeks ago that I'd actually take the plunge and repaint/modify the boots. So after some careful masking, I sprayed the heel, platform, toe and tongue with silver leather paint, then hand masked and hand painted(With a tiny brush) the silver stars on the side.....I finished these today, total time excluding drying was around 3 hours. Total cost..... less than $50aus.

Yep, Thrifty Curt is Thrifty! Now I gotta do the full costume, which thank got is pretty simple. Just a sleeveless, open chested bodysuit, with silver stars studded with rhinestones, fingerless elbow length gloves and then the make up :P I should have that done for under $100 too :D

I'm trying to budget myself with my cosplay but it looks like my contacts lenses will break it. :/

Still sounds like it will look cool,where are you wearing this one?

How big is your budget? I know a few stores up here that have contacts for around $50. I get them for Mr. Lordi and they're pretty good.

It should look pretty neat. I don't really have anywhere planned for this, I just wanted to finally finish my boots, and now doing a full costume looks like a good idea, seeing as the hardest and most expensive part is already done. :P

Aha...well I haven't really set it yet since I haven't looked at the material yet,once I know how much that will cost I will try to set it,I'm trying to stay under $200. Hmm we don't have places like that in Canberra,I've looked everywhere. :/

I dunno... If i really like it, I might wear it. I'll definitley be dressed as KISS at some point over the con :P

I don't mind about the price of the contact lenses since I will definatley have them no matter how many failed budgets I have. For once I don't want to skimp on the details xD

I need yellow ones and black ones. :meow:

You mean the black ones? Because yes,they're all black if you mean yellow than those ones should have pupils.
